Compare Prices on Meet the Numbers
Meet the Numbers is a very clever DVD that taught my 21 month used son to scrutinize numbers zero through 10 and to count. He watched Meet the Letters for three weeks and learned ALL of the letters of the alphabet. He began to point at letters everywhere we would go but would become frustrated when he saw number characters. I bought Meet the Numbers and within 2 days he knew numbers too! The first part of the video is designed for children to learn number names. The number characters only say their acquire name while they are doing something that has to do with that number. For example, “zero” blows bubbles that pop before they beget. This is such a clever device to portray zero! “One” rides a unicycle, and “two” blows out two birthday candles. The second fragment of the video is the counting portion. Each character counts to accumulate to their number. When my son counts he always imitates the characters voices. The third portion gives the kids a chance to test what they have learned. A series of familiar objects appear and the child counts out loud. Then the number character pops up on the cloak. The video ends with a counting segment that my son wants to peer over and over again. I showed this video to my preschool and now they explain it in all of their classes along with Meet the Letters. I only wish these videos were available when my first two children where toddlers.
My daughter was 20 months traditional when I bought this video and I wasn’t even thinking about teaching her number character recognition yet. I bought Meet the Letters and she learned ALL of her upper and lowercase letters in less than 2 weeks so of course I bought all of the other videos that Preschool Prep Company makes. It is as if she had 3 years of preschool in one month. I didn’t assume that I would be able to pry her away from Meet the Letters because it was the only video that she would observe and she would literally wail when I tried to attach other shows on. Since this video was made using the familiar format that she loved from Meet the Letters she was so indignant to observe it and the astounding fragment was that she learned numbers zero to ten after watching the DVD twice! I wouldn’t have believed it but I saw how lickety-split she learned letters so I was enthralling how rapid she would learn numbers and distinct enough, we were at a store and they had numbers hanging in the isles and I pointed at each and asked her what they were and she shouted them out with the most incredible enthusiasm. I recommend Meet the Shapes and Meet the Colors too. Meet the Colors is now her current of the Preschool Prep Series (I esteem it too!) . I saw the series recommended in both the Child Magazine and Wondertime Magazine holiday gift guides. I also saw them mentioned in American Baby. I am so cheerful to peek that they are getting all of the accolades that they deserve!
