Saved our sanity during travel5
We bought this to power our laptop and cell chargers while on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. This unit was compact and easily packed in with the laptop. It worked flawlessly and saved our sanity by giving the kids power to “entertain” for some of the less senic drive times. The only minor complaint is the cooling fan, it just added a little white noise noticable at less than cruising speeds. On the plus side it also reminded us that it was sucking power when we would shut down the car. Overall we are very pleased with this purchase.

does the job5
I’ve had other inverters before and this one isn’t louder than any of the other ones i’ve had. It does it’s job and is cheap. It’s nice to be able to charge my iphone and laptop at the same time.

Too noisy.1
Purchased this PI100AB inverter because it is inexpensive and has both 120V and USB. However, when I plugged it into the car, it sounds like a hair dryer running on the low-speed setting (even without anything connected to the inverter). I did not see the fan mentioned on the box. We returned it, and will look for another product.

Protection for Your Brain Protector5
I’ve ridden motorcycles since I was old enough to sit on one and keep at least one foot on the ground. During all that time I never gave a thought to someone walking off with my helmet. I was more worried about someone stealing the bike!

Who would want another person’s helmet? It’s sweaty, it’s got hair in it, it smells like them – it’s like stealing another guy’s jock strap! Yuck! Well, it turns out that in these economic times, if it’s not nailed down, someone will walk off with it. After someone swiped my EXO 1000, I started giving some thought to making my most important piece of motorcycle safety gear harder to steal.

This lock is excellent protection at an excellent price. The chrome is perfect and once installed, it looks like factory-installed original equipment. Where you put it is going to depend on your bike and whatever accessories you happen to have. A passenger back rest (or “sissy bar”) would be ideal, but my Harley doesn’t have one (yet!) So I settled for a handlebar install. It worked out well and I actually like where the helmet sits (in the middle of the handle bars) better there than hanging off the side of the bike. (Check out my pictures of installed lock.)

One word of caution – if you have several options for placement, be sure to test each one before making a final decision. The screws are “one-way” and once they’re screwed all the way down, you’ll need a grinder to get the lock off again. I chose to put the securing screws one or two twists in place, just enough to hold onto the bottom housing, and then I could “test-drive” the placement by resting the lock on my handlebars and then putting the helmet on the bike, to be sure that I could lock the helmet in place and successfully unlock it again. My Suzuki has a couple of helmet locks on the sissy bar and while locking the helmets in place are easy, unlocking them requires you to stick your key ring inside the helmet and feel around for the lock totally in the dark. It takes me longer than it should and actually discourages me from using the lock. So when I put this one on, I tested it before screwing everything down.

A great lock, a good price and a product I recommend.

Product is as described and works great. Just what I needed. Always worried about leaving my helmet with the bike. Don’t have to worry now. I recommend this product. Easy to install.

looks good, but cheap finish and feel2
Looks like the one my husband broke, but way different in quality- hey I know it’s a cheap watch. It works fine it just feels sub par and the silver face of the watch creates glare making it very hard to tell the time depending on the lighting. Try it with the white face or blue face if you are going with this style.

WATCH THAT COMES IS NOT THE ONE IN PICTURE3
Of course Casio is a great watch but buyer beware. This watch they have pictured is not the watch you get in the mail. You get one that looks similar but the numbers are on the dial and there is no cz diamond at the top. Just FYI

Easy to read4
No one is going to mistake this for a high-end watch, but it is attractive, not too heavy and easy-to-read. I have a large wrist and like to wear my watch loose. This was perfect out of the box.

Product works, packaging strange…4
The batteries in the 5 pack worked, but when I initially got the package, I didn’t think they would. It appeared as if a card of 10 batteries had been cut in half and shipped that way… not the way the amazon photo looks. But like I said before, they worked…I guess that’s what matters.

Excellent savings!5
Watch batteries are always going out and buying single batteries at the store can be costly. It’s like getting 4 batteries free!

This is a really good purchase. 5 batteries, name brand for $5 , no shipping and no sales tax added. It arrived in less than a week.

Customer Reviews:

Excellent price for a great game5
Not only do you get the full game but also the expansion pack for a reasonable price. The replay value of both titles alone definately justifies the expense. I cannot recommend this game enough. Even after almost 2 years on the market I can still pick it up every couple months and march my Legions to conquest.

Below are my comments for each game.

ORIGINAL ROME: TOTAL WAR

This is the game I’ve always wanted to play. It has such a superb blend of strategy and real time action. Ever play a turn based strategy game and want to really watch your troops battle it out and control the formations and tactics? Now you can. Of course there will be something people don’t like, but there are many mods out there to tweak it to your exact taste. The Total War community is healthy in that there is a significant population tweaking and modding the game to your particular flavor.

Let me just say also I am not a RTS fan. I do not like “whomever clicks the fastest wins” games. Each single soldier is represented on the battlefield. It’s truly amazing watching your Legions march across arid deserts, snow covered mountains to engage the enemy and clash together right in front of your eyes. Each battle is like a scene out of Braveheart or, more appropriately, Gladiator.

No other game can capture the scope of an immense battle like Rome: Total War can. Especially the battles consisting of many units, it’s like an epic battle from your favorite movie.

It is not purely the battles, it has a strategy element in it to where you will manage cities, build structures and conduct diplomacy.

Overall, even if you are not a fan of Strategy or RTS games you will find this to your liking. There is so many good things about this game, it would fill many pages writing about all the pluses and things the developers did right here. A definate must have for any gamer.

BARBARIAN INVASION

The Total War community has given a lot of feedback to the developers on the improvements they would like to see. I’d say pretty much all of the biggies were addressed and added in Barbarian Invasion. Rome: Total War is hands down one of my all-time favorites and a game I can still pickup and play again and again.

There is a lot of upgraded features you would expect from an expansion…little better graphics, upgraded units and increased functionality. The upgrades to the AI are the most noticeable, in my opinion.

The Total War community waited over a year for this to be released and it is readily apparent the developers spent this time to deliver an outstanding expansion. The price tag is definately worth it as well. The time period for the expansion is set in the declining years of the Roman Empire so basically you are getting a whole new game with this expansion.

The new game element rearranges the map to take into account what has happened historically in the last three hundred years. The Roman Empire is split between west and east and all the old factions from Rome:Total War have been assimilated into the Roman Empire. An interesting historical note when the game begins for the Eastern Roman Empire is the Faction Leader Valens. His defeat against the Goths was considered a milestone in the decline of the Roman Empire (for both halves). Not only was his army defeated, but the Emperor Valens was also killed. Oh and the Goths will come for you…Oh yes, they will come.

The Parthians have been surplanted by the Sassanid Empire in the east, but essentially all the old factions have become roman provinces. Basically, it’s the barbarian factions battling it out for the choice pieces of real estate.

The new expansion is noticeably harder depending on which faction you play. The Western Roman Empire is by far the most difficult which took a great deal of time to beat. Why is it so difficult? Barbarian factions with a few exceptions don’t die when you take their last city – they become a Horde. This is challenging in that you can’t just move through and conquer cities to annihilate the Huns, Vandals, Sarmatians, etc. You need to not only conquer all their cities but kill every single family member in order to wipe the faction from the map or they will just keep spawning as new Hordes. You must fight them out in the open which pits you against their horse archers. As you play you will find different strategies on dealing with them, but needless to say it’s very fun and challenging. My personal method is the very liberal use of assassins and fortifying cities while I pick apart their horde until I get their family members eliminated.

Bottomline – 5 out of 5 and highly recommended no matter what game genre you typically lean towards. You won’t regret it.

Strategic combat at its best5
While I am personally more fond of Rome’s predecessor, Medieval: Total War, the latest in the Total War series is nothing short of excellent. Much has been improved on, especially the real-time combat and gameplay mechanics. The meek AI, underdeveloped naval combat, and drab visuals that marred Medieval have been done away with for the latest installation.

One of the greatest strengths of the series has always been its ability to capture the truly epic feel of worldwide warfare, regardless of whether you are looking over the whole of Europe or watching rank-and-file armies advancing upon each other. This is especially true with the new 3D combat engine, which is vastly superior to Medieval’s. The units are all fully modeled and animated, and the camera is much more maneuverable, allowing you to get up close. This isn’t very handy from a command standpoint, but it really makes the battles come alive. Battles in cities and forts are also much more fun, since they are more balanced and take place in full-sized replicas of the cities you see on the world map, down to the individual buildings you or your opponent have constructed.

The mechanics of the strategy portion of the game are different. Instead of treating each provence as a whole entity, with units being able to move between them once per turn, units move relative to the physical distance they must cross on the map, with cities being the points of interest you must find. While this adds more strategy and realism to the game (since it will obviously take longer for an army to cross an African desert than the Italian peninsula), this makes the game move much more slowly and, I feel, detracts from the excitement and fun. Fortunately, the game compensates for this and does not require conquering the entire map to win; under the new rules of the game it would take a very, very long time.

The expasion, while not lacking in content, is slightly on the boring side. I believe my opinion may be slightly tainted since I am not as fond of the play styles inherent in choosing tribal factions which compose virtually all the playable ones in Barbarian Invasion. Still, after playing several full games of Rome, I found that the expansion did not offer enough new material to hold my interest for very long. Besides, there is plenty of fun to be had without the expansion, due to the wider range of factions and units.

Fans of the series will not be disappointed, which seems to be a rarity these days. Newcomers should be prepared for a challenge, but the game does a good job of breaking people in and letting them enjoy the game from start to finish.

More addicting than Civ or Pirates5
I’m not what would be called an intensive gamer. I buy maybe 2 games a year. This is the most addictive game I’ve played since the original Pirates came out for the Commodore 64 home computer. I would play that game for literally 6 hours or more at one sitting. This is just as bad. I’m 37 now and not 14 like I was then too, but I’m having flashbacks LOL! It helps that I’m absolutely fascinated with the late republic/early imperial period of the Roman empire. I’ve played the historical campaign of the original through twice. Haven’t even touched Barbarian Invasion yet, except to watch the intro. Has the “4X” feel of a Civilization style game, but without all the micromanagement. New buildings provide benefits to population control, revenue, and combat units. Pretty basic. Where the game shines is in the tactical battles. You can literally zoom in on an individual soldier.

My only criticisms are that there aren’t enough historical battles in my opinion, and that when creating a custom battle you can’t choose the “rebel” faction. Also in the custom battles, the various Roman factions don’t have access to all Roman units. I wanted to create a “Spartacus” style battle. I couldn’t use “rebels”, so I choose two Roman factions. Each Roman faction has access to one style of Gladiator, not all three. I wanted to make an army of the gladiator types, but I couldn’t.

Fun mini games, slow moving, poor presentation3
Many of us fans of the original FF from the original XBOX were anxiously awaiting the release of a sequel. After waiting so long it is finally here.

Back from the original game are the characters we have all grown to love (or in some cases hate). Samson, Naomi, Geena, Dub, Jet, and every annoying Zack. Also in this game is a slew of brand new mini games, as well as some favorites from the original including, Sumo and Twisted System, sadly some favorites did not make it for whatever reason. That is not to say the new games are not as fun, because they are. One game involves you having to sink your opponent’s boat using the water that opponents are trying to sink your boat with. Another one has you trying to stay on a waterfall by pressing random button that appears on screen. So the fun factor of the actual mini games is still there for the most part. However the Fuzion Frenzy round from the original game has been replaced with a beat the crap out of your opponents round in which you basically do that, using items and powerups from the environment. It’s not as fun as the “Fuzion Frenzy”, but still pretty fun nonetheless. Instead of different game zones in FF1, FF2 games take place on different planets, Earth and several other ficticious ones.

Graphics while not a big issue with a party game like this, are pretty well done, but like all of us know graphics is not what make a game like this fun, its the presentation, and sadly the presentation of this game falls way short of the original. The main problem is that the game moves entirely too slow. Instead of going directly to the action, before each mini game, you have to listen to this corny host with a light tie, lights shooting out of his shoulders, and buttons on his cuff links blab on and on, talking about the same thing, which is basically nothing. His voice is annoying as well. Ever so often you have to compete in a mini game to get stupid cards, and every time he says “Now you will play a game which I prepared myself on the ship.” Luckily you can skip through this annoying babble and get to the game a little faster. But even during game play the announcer is annoying, always babbling along and he can’t even say the characters’ names, instead he says “How are you doing Player 1?”, or “Player 3 lands an attack”, YES he says “Player 1″, not Samson, Naomi, Zack or ANY of the character names. Why? I have no idea, even the original version said the character names, surely the 360 version could do the same, but I guess not. This separates the player from the game even more. Even the character dialog themselves seem robotic and no emotion what so ever. I miss the annoying dialog from the original, like Zacks “Zack, shalack lack ack ack”. They still saw some smart a$$ things, but nothing like the original.

Adding to the frustration, is that there are now annoying cards you can use before each mini game, which allow you to multiply your point values you earn in the mini game, meaning if you lose in the mini game and only get 2 point, if you use your x6 card, it means you would get 12 points, and if the winner didn’t use a card, then you will be declared the winner of the mini game, even though you came in dead last. Cheesiest at its finest. Other cards reverse the effect of cards, so if you use a reversal card and someone else uses a x6 card, that effect will turn into a divided by 6 card instead. Another card allows you to steal the effect of a card from another player. More cheese.

And if that’s not enough, only player 1 can gain achievements during game play. This is not a big issue for me, since my wife and I only play to have fun, but for some people this is a big deal since if Player 2, 3 or 4 wins the whole game, there will be nothing to show for it. I don’t play online, but for those that do, there can only be one player per 360, so if you have two people at your home hoping you two will get to play online at the same time, forget it, only one player per XBOX online. Clearly lazy developing as they surely should have known players would want to be able to play otherwise.

This game had the potential to be even greater than the original, and when it comes to actual game play, it’s pretty close, but the main thing that ruined this from being the incredibly fun game, was the poor presentation. Its like Hudson tried way too hard to make this game into an intergalactic game show instead of keeping it simple and focusing on what made the original so fun. The fun of the games is definitely top notch, but the overall presentation hurt my overall rating of this game.

Fusion Frenzy 24
First let me say that I am not good at the “regular” games for XBox (360 or otherwise). Anyway, when my husband bought the 360 I was excited to hear that FF2 was coming out for it because my husband & I had a great time challenging eachother and “fighting” during the first FF. So, when we got this a few days ago and started to play a LOT had changed about this. First, there is no Fusion Frenzy (the final game in each stage of the original). Unless, it is a game that we haven’t unlocked yet. Which brings me to some interesting things about FF2. One, is that each character who wins the over all game unlocks a new game in a new world. Another is that you choose how many worlds you have to win between 1-5 overall winnings. Plus, this time you get cards that either let you choose the next mini game in the world or lets you multiply your mini game final score by either 2,4 or 6 times the amount. For example, if you use your times 6 multiplier in a mini game and get second place, then you get 6 (your original score for second place) times 6 = 36 points. Then you get first place in that game (which will really irritate the person who actually scored 10 to win first place). You also recieve stealer cards, which means if one person uses a multiplier and you use a stealer then you actually get the multiplier card. And, there is a divider card for someone who uses a multiplier card and you use the divider it will actually divide the persons score instead of mulitplying it. For the first world or so it might seem these cards are not worth it but as the worlds progress they actually seem more useful. Plus, you never know what cards people are choosing so you hope that you are using the right one at the right time. The cards come at random times either by fighting for them in a mini game that the DJ makes or just randomly after a game is won/lost. This game has the same characters as the original as well as some of the original games played in a different type of world. All in all, I think the original FF is the best but this one, once you get used to and get the hang of all of the new things involved is fun. One of the irritating things though is that there are only so many mini games to choose from when you first start to play. It just doesn’t look like a lot and it’s rather irritating that you can’t play all of them but, eventually, you get used to all of these things and the game really is fun. I would say while the other game was good for smaller children, this one should be for slightly older (maybe 8 and over) because of all of the changes and card usage, etc. Give it a try, it is fun, like I said, once you get used to everything. Good luck :)

Buy Fuzion Frenzy 11
The “gameshow host” in this game is possibly the most annoying computer generated character since Jar Jar Binks.

This game is actually pretty fun for about 2 hours.

One good thing about it- you can earn a lot of easy gamerscore points by playing through with each of the different characters. That’s really the only good thing about it.

8 princess to play with …. imagination….. priceless!!!!!5
We purchased this from the Disney store and my daughter loves to play with the 8 Disney Princesses. The only princess that doesn’t stand up as well as the others is Pocahontas and that’s because she doesn’t only is held up by her legs and not by a long dress which all of the others have. Mulan’s face is not the best…. but my daughter loves it and that’s all that counts!

Happy mom5
My daughter has been playing with these figures for almost a year now! They are absolutely terrific for occupying a board 3 year old during traveling or even at a restaurant. I highly recommend.

Disney Princess Figurine Set5
I did buy these from Amazon though the “Amazon Verified Purchase” tag is not here. However, these are great! The toys are very durable, well-made and just what I was looking for. My 5 year old daughter is going through a “princess” phase and everything she wants is princess stuff. I bought these to go with the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Folding Princess Castle. I tried them out myself before giving them to my daughter and they fit the castle perfectly and both go great together. She is very pleased with them!

I paid $[...] and no shipping costs. Also, they are very well packaged but not hard to access.

Customer Reviews:

Great game!5
I got this game for my son for his fourth birthday. He loves it! I was worried it would be too old for him since the age suggestion is 5 and up, but he has had no problem. He loves all the mapping questions: learning coordinates, identifying continents; and it’s fun to hear him find South America and rescue super-heroes! Another concern was that it would be too scary b/c Wolverine isn’t exactly a kid-friendly character, but it isn’t scary at all. A good buy!!!

I AM IRATE!1
Since there is no where to leave comments on the leapster website, I thought I’d try to warn a few parents on here. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME, if you care at all about the exposure of sexual symbols to your young sons. I’m not trying to come off as prudish, but a game that is targeted towards such a young and naive group should not have voluptuous women who are half naked. My son received this game and as I sat next to him while he played it I was shocked. The narrator who has cerebral powers is a female with a large chest and the game constantly shows close-ups of her cleavage. I realize that in comic books women are portrayed this way, however my son has a spiderman/wolverine v-smile game that is perfectly harmless and appropriately modified for his age group. I just can’t believe leapster would include this…it’s completely unnecessary! My husband tried to fix it so it would skip the storyboard, but she still is shown in each game giving direction to wolverine. I have no problem with using beautiful females, etc. but her proportions are so unrealistic and her extra large breasts are only half covered. How do we expect our poor boys to ever gain respect for the beauty of women if they’re always shown women who are unrealistic sexual symbols?

Okay, enough. You can make your own decision at this point.

Leapster Wolverine Game4
My 5-yr old is frustrated with this game. It was the only game he got for Christmas that he said was too hard – he got frustrated and has put it away. I think he’ll love it in a year but just wanted to share that this game might be better for a little older child (6 or 7).

Customer Reviews:

Where has this thing been all my life?5
Waterpik makes a brushed nickel version of this showerhead, model # RPB 179. I know, because I purchased 2 yesterday that I stumbled upon at HomeGoods for $19.99 each. Oddly, even Google can’t as of this date find the RPB 179 – perhaps it is brand new version? Anyway, it is same as RPB 173 except finish is pretty brushed nickel and face is putty colored rather than black. I love this model because:
1) Installation – Having now installed 2 in my home, I’m pretty sure I could install a third in under 60 seconds if I really hustled! Only tool you’ll need is pliers to remove old showerhead.
2) Flow – My goal is to get drenched, not massaged, and this model, with it’s six inch wide head and dozens of firm but not stinging streams, succeeds marvelously.
3) Simplicity – I like simple things. This thing is very simple with a clean-looking design. And it should last.
4) Positioning – Best feature of all. The adjustable nine-inch arm enables you to position the head so that at it’s lowest point it is around 5 inches higher than a conventional fixed head. My old head was around 5′11″ off the floor of tub, this one is around 6′4″. It also enables you to position the head perhaps 6 inches further out from the wall. So, no more bending over backwards or bumping into the shower caddy, or maneuvering through the spray and around the head to get the shampoo, etc.
5) Adjustability – the arm adjusts off the pipe, and the head adjusts off the arm, so you can have the starting point and angle of flow just how you like it, and such that it won’t splatter on drywall, out of shower, etc.
6) Looks – quite handsome. Get yourself a brushed-nickel caddy for a good looking combo.
7) Quality – Early to say, but the two I installed don’t leak at all, not even a single drop.
8) Value – I love the little one-time changes that make life a tad better daily. This thing does that, and if it lasts six years, it does it for a penny a day.

It is a winner. Waterpik, you’re gonna sell a lot of these if you make them available.

Cheap Plastic2
5 stars from the other reviews helped prompt me to order this shower head. The description says “Chrome” very clearly. This isn’t chrome, it is unbelievably cheap, lightweight plastic. It installed easily, and seems to work fine. It is misleading to call it chrome, though. The shower head was 10 bucks more at Lowes, so the Amazon price was good. Shipping was free and quick from Amazon.

Great choice!5
These are perfect – and were able to be installed in about 5 minutes (in fact you spend more time unscrewing your old one than it takes to hook these up). No wrench or tools required, and the “6-inch arm” rotates up and down or you can also set it left or right to get the right fit. The “head” also is 360-movable so again really convenient. Probably the most impressive feature though is the fact that you really can tell the difference in water pressure (it helps that its like a strong rainfall effect) and its several solid streams coming out from the nozzle. In the end, for the money this is really a great product!

The Ketch-All Mousetrap allows your to catch them all with this round-the-clock sentry. It is simple, yet unbeatably smart. Sure-Set sets right the first time and every time with no baiting required. This galvanized trap catches multiple mice per setting. The mice trigger the paddle wheel, which pushes them into the caged end. Trapped mice attract other mice, so it’s possible the whole family may be caught. The trap is easily emptied, and convenient accessories are available. Customer Reviews:

killer mouse trap!!!3
My apartment building has a terrible mouse problem. I thought I’d dent the population in a perhaps futile attempt at trapping the ones I could and releasing them outside. The trap worked the first time. I caught a little bugger, and successfully let it go. All was well with that. The second time, the mouse was seemingly paraplegic with a broken tail, presumably from the violent action of the trap as it whisked the rodent into its bowels. The third time, the mouse was caught half in half out in the gears and workings of the device. It was also fatally injured by blunt trauma to the back. Its hips and legs were snagged by the trap as it squealed and attempted to escape. The trap succeeds at trapping, but I am not certain that it has much of a heart. Thanks!

It works too well4
We have a farm shed that was overun with Deer Mice.
They continually build nests inside cars and trucks and have cost us hundreds of dollars in damages, thus they had to be eliminated.
Poison is not an option because of all the wildlife in the area.
I wanted a mousetrap that would allow me to release other innocent small rodents uninjured so the Ketchall sounded ideal as it would catch several in a single night.
Every night I set the trap, and every morning it was empty. The reason?
We had so many mice that after six mice are trapped, the spring unwinds and the door stays open so that all the mice get out. I finally had to use snap traps to thin them out. It will catch from 1 to 4 mice and keep them in, but if you have a real mouse plague, this trap is not the answer. The product could be improved with some sort of catch that would prevent the door from opening once the spring has run down.

Hardly Humane Mouse Trap1
This trap is hardly humane. The first mouse was killed in the mechanism. The second mouse was trapped in the air hole-his mouth was completely stuck-I had to pry the poor guy out. The third mouse was again caught by its leg in the revolving catcher. I’ve had much better luck with the Victor Tin Cat. The mice live to release them.
