Customer Reviews:

Great price, performs as expected5
When it came time to run Ethernet cables through the house I am very happy that I chose to purchase them through Amazon. The 25 ft RiteAV Cat6 cable gave me exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable price.

Cables are almost straight commodities. The only areas where they can be functionally differentiable are the connectors and the rigidity/durability of the casing. In the case of these cables, the connectors are firmly attached and the cable casing is not overly stiff.

Cat6 Cable Perfection5
Great buy for the product. These cables were packed and ship quickly. They arrived in good shape and have increased my download and upload speeds. I’m glad I purchased them on amazon.

It Works But…2
Yes, although it is cheap, it works and connects okay. I had no problem with my Internet signal or Internet performance. But, I had a very difficult time trying to disconnect it from my laptop pc when I wanted to change to a smaller sized cable. This 25′ cable seemed stuck in the pc port although I kept pushing down on the lock lever to release it. It reached a point where the blue plastic cable cover started to stretch and separate from the cable grip at the pc port before it finally disconnected. I had no problem with disconnecting the other end which was connected to the modem.

Customer Reviews:

it’s almost too easy now.5
I love these cups. They’re easy to clean, have a great little fill line on the inside walls, and the muffins pop out easily (sometimes I don’t even oil them). They look sweet scattered on a plate, and the shape of the muffins is novel.

I think they’d make cute condiment holders for parties as well, or on the plates of toddlers who like their food in little dishes. (They won’t carry well, you couldn’t hand a toddler one of these full of cheerios and expect them not to spill it- the sides are too flexible.)

Speaking of toddlers: With this little set of 12 square muffin cups and our Panasonic NB-G100P-S 7.2-Quart Flash Express 1300 Watt Infrared Toaster Oven, Silver, my toddler and I have discovered a new hobby: Baking the little 6-muffin prepared mixes from the grocery store. We can have hot fresh muffins for our “tea parties” in just ten minutes, without the expense and heat of firing up the big oven. We place the molds right onto the bars of the rack, which is why I think the hot air can circulate well enough to bake the muffins. I’ve never been able to do that in a toaster oven before.

The only thing I wish is that they were another color so I could use them more often for serving: red, for instance, would be fitting for several of our holidays when baking is often done. They do their job well, though, and I’m very happy with these little guys.

Be careful how you use them…4
I haven’t used these for baking, let’s go ahead and get that out there. Why would I want silicone baking cups if I am not going to bake? Well, I use them in my bento box as food cups/dividers. They stand up fine in the microwave, and the fact that they can be dropped in the dishwasher and used over and over again is excellent. Washing them in the dishwasher can be tricky, as they have a tendency to flip over and fill with water/soap rather than stay put. I generally wash mine by hand. They also don’t stick, and cool quickly for easy handling. I took off a star because, for what I use them for, they have one little problem: they retain odor. I had some mini smoked sausages in one, some peanut butter in another and some apples in a third. The only one that doesn’t still smell like my lunch from three weeks ago is the one I had cut apples in. The other two *still* smell like sausages and peanut butter. I find it more annoying than anything, not a real drawback to the actual function of the item.

Great for portion control5
I have used these a few times now, and really like them. Rather than making a whole cake or pan of brownies, I can just mix up enough batter to fill a few of these and bake them in my toaster oven. It helps with portion control, and I don’t have half of a cake getting stale (or tempting me) on the counter. They are easy to clean and just the right size for a snack.

Customer Reviews:

A Reasonable Substitute for a Whetstone4
If one really wants to put a razor sharp edge on an axe or knife, a set of diamond whetstones is the best way to do it. This painstaking manual process requires time and proper technique. Beware: a razor sharp edge is exactly that and not to be trifled with. On the other hand, if “pretty darn sharp” is good enough…and it should be for most utility purposes…a dedicated sharpening tool like the Fiskars will get the job done quickly and with minimum risk to one’s fingers. There are a number of similar products on the market. This one comes from a reputable manufacturer at a good price point.

knives and axes?5
eh? You seriously think I’m going to use the same thing to sharpen the Henckels 4 star knives I use to prepare family meals AND the axes I use to chop wood?

Seriously. This sharpener will reset just about any blunted knife or axe to a finely honed edge.

It does just a good a job on a fine filleting knife as it does on my favorte chopping axe – I just have to remember to clean it before I switch uses.

Now if only they made a lawnmower that could julienne vegetables….

Buy This! Not a new Knife!5
I bought my first Fiskar sharpener from the owner of MAC knives. He told me that this was all I needed as a professional chef to keep my knives sharp and in top shape as to angle, knicks, ect…. He was right. Don’t pass this up. You really do not need anything else. No kidding and just $12.00. Chef Mark

Amazon.com Product Description
The Fiskars axe and knife sharpener features a patented ceramic wheel to effectively and easily sharpen axes and knives at an exact 30-degree angle. The sharpener is built for safety as well, with a built-in hand guard and non-slip feet. It is covered by a lifetime warranty.

Customer Reviews:

BEST FISH OIL5
I’ve been using Nordic Naturals for years. It’s the best brand of fish oil by far. Very pure, no PCB’s, metals, etc. It’s recommend highly by dieticians, too. I love it b/c I hate fish – the smell, taste, you name it. You never taste the fish b/c it comes w/ lemon oils in it – you only taste the lemon. Fish oil has totally improved my skin, hair, and joints as well. Love it!

Fish Oil took care of my Excema5
I have been using about 3000mg of DHA and EPA combined as suggested my my doctor (that is about 6 capsules of the Ultimate Omenga). I noticed a few weeks after taking fish oil that the terrible eczema that I had been battling for over a year was going away. It went completely away. I went off of the fish oil I was using for a couple weeks(I was using a cheap brand from Sam’s Club) because my Dr. recommended using a higher quality brand of fish oil and suggested Nordic Naturals. My eczema started to come back from being off of fish oil but after using the NordicNaturals Ultimate Omega it has started going away again!

Look Ma, no heartburn5
These are a great Omega vitamin. This is the only brand I’ve tried that doesn’t make “fishy heartburn” when I take it. Try it!

Compatible with LiftMaster Security+ 390MHz garage door openers and radio control receivers only. Temporary password option. Program code directly from keypad. Backlit keypad. Includes 9V battery.

  • Amazon Sales Rank: #64 in Home Improvement
  • Brand: Chamberlain
  • Model: 976LM

Features

  • Compatible with LiftMaster Security+ garage door openers (with orange learn button) and radio control receivers only.
  • Temporary password option.
  • Program code directly from keypad.
  • Backlit keypad. Includes 9V battery

Customer Reviews:

worked perfectly with a Chamberlain 22805
Have a Chamberlain LiftMaster Professional model 2280 with “Security+” (just marketing talk for the rolling changing code that all openers have had for 10+ yrs), and an orange learn button (we’ll come back to this) on the back of the unit under the rear translucent light bulb cover. The opener manual specifies a 976LM keypad for this unit. This keypad has a 9v battery, lights up, allows an additional temporary code to be set by # of openings or # of hours, and is grayish-cream in color. Two screws to mount the unit, with one mounting hole on the top outside of the keypad and the other behind the battery cover at bottom. Contrary to comments elsewhere: 1) you do not have to hold the buttons down longer to get them to “take” … I just punch ‘em in like any other keypad I’ve had over the years; 2) it does not take time to reset if you mistype … it just takes the last 4 digits you entered before pressing Send and reacts immediately if you enter a new set. Nice because you don’t have to close and re-open the cover or hit Send if you know you mistyped … just enter the last 4 digits correctly before hitting Send; 3) the buttons are the common “rubbery” ones on most all openers and they’re fine; and 4) you CAN set a temporary code. Now you’re going to love this … the Chamberlain website: a) doesn’t recognize a 2280 model # garage opener (I’m staring at it on the cover of the manual and it’s stamped on the opener); b) doesn’t say anything about a 976LM keypad; c) specifies the 940CB keypad if you have a red learning button, or a 940D if you have a purple learning button, or a 740CB for “older models” (which bringing up the instructions says applies to yellow, grey, green, or white learning button units); and d) … has no orange button recommendation! Unforgiveable. However, the instructions that actually come with the 976LM keypad clearly say it’s for units “with an orange learning button” … which is what I have … go figure. Keypads are all $40 on Chamberlain site, so $25 here is a good deal. In summary, simple to install (2 screws), simple to program (press & release the Learn button on your overhead opener, enter a 4 digit code on the keypad, and press & hold Enter on the keypad until your garage opener light blinks), and works fine … at least for us orange button people.

Great4
This product does exactly what it is supposed to do. Installation is as simple as putting in 2 screws. Programming it takes about 30 seconds. 2 minor complaints I have 1. is that you have to enter the code to get it to close as well as open. 2. It would be nice to be able to assign a temporary code to give a service person or neighbor access while you are on vacation – not a big deal especially considering the great price.

Excellent replacement5
I bought this as an exact replacement for the original remote. After 9 years, the original remote was working sporadically at best. I would often need to enter the code several times before it worked, and felt the need to push the buttons extra hard as some other reviewers have mentioned (replacing the battery did not help.) The new remote solved all my problems and works perfectly, was well worth the $24.

Four more great episodes, including show 101. MSTies must have!5
This latest terrific set from Shout! Factory includes four more never before released episodes. Two have Joel Hodgson as host and two are hosted by Mike Nelson. Joel episodes are from the Comedy Channel/Comedy Central shows and the Mike episodes are from the Sci-Fi Channel period of the show. Note that show 101 is the first network episode, a MSTie-must-have for sure!

101- THE CRAWLING EYE
This black and white 1958 film was originally called The Trollenberg Terror and based on an ITV serial. This film version stars Forrest Tucker. A weird tentacled alien creature menaces a small town high in the mountains of Switzerland. This is the very first network episode of MST3K made for the Comedy Channel and it’s been a long, long time since this one was shown even compared to other episodes of the unfortunately canceled show so many MSTies still have likely not seen this, but everyone should. A lot of things would be changed and improved on the show in coming episodes, but this one gives fans a fascinating window into the show’s early development and of course, it’s funny! The movie itself used to be a weekend and late night staple on UHF channels across the US and I saw it many times as a child. Needless to say, Joel and the ‘Bots make it more fun. There’s a call-back to this episode in the final episode of MST3K.

415- THE BEATNIKS (with short: GENERAL HOSPITAL PT 2)
Paul Frees directed this black and white film in 1960. It concerns a young man’s attempt to make it big as a recording artist while trying to escape from the grip of his criminally inclined childhood friends. It contains the much loved MST3K catch-phrases “shut up, Iris, shut up I tell you” and “I killed that fat barkeep” along with the song, “Leather Coat” as fans might call it. A highly entertaining episode. MST3K even makes the dismal General Hospital short hilarious. This episode first aired on the Turkey Day 1992 marathon and it’s a fan favorite.

910- THE FINAL SACRIFICE
This 78-minute color 1990 film from Canada has a hero named “Zap Rowsdower”, an annoying youth who tags along with him, some weird cultists in cheap outfits and not much else. It stars no one and has nothing to recommend it. Maybe that’s why it’s become a favorite among many fans over the years. Perhaps it’s sort of the Canadian “Manos: Hands of Fate”! The writer/director’s name is Tjardus Greidanus. In any case, find out what the buzz is about and don’t miss this.

1005- BLOOD WATERS OF DR. Z
This 1975 horror film is also known by many alternate titles such as “Zaat” and “Dr. Z”. It was directed by Don Barton and stars no one and has a cheap monster, but these schlocky horror films always worked well for the MST3K writers and this one is no exception. Of course there’s a mad scientist out for revenge against those that scoffed at his ideas, thereby proving them correct when they “said he was mad”. Bad monster schlock equals good jokes on the SOL.

Extra features at this time are listed as:

* The Crawling Eye Special Introduction by Joel Hodgson
* Mystery Science Theater Hour Wraps on The Beatniks
* The Main Event: Crow vs. Crow at DragonCon `09
* Blood Waters of Dr. Z Photo Gallery
* Original Trailers and Promos
* Mini-posters by Steve Vance
* …and More Yet To Be Announced!

Set Has 2 Joel and 2 Mike (with Cast Changes for the Bots)4
Two movies are hosted by Joel and two by Mike. Another noticable change is in “The Crawling Eye,” where a different cast member is the voice for TOM SERVO. Here’s the info on each episode:

“The Crawling Eye” – Joel Hodgson and the Bots host this 1958 Black & White SciFi movie starring Forest Tucker. This was in the early days of MST3K and Josh Weinstein does the voice for Tom Servo. If you haven’t seen the early shows you will definitely notice the difference between Weinstein’s deadpan Tom and the wonderful Kevin Murphy who does an emotive and emotional Tom Servo. The movie, set in a mountain resort, is somewhat scarey at times, especially when the fog comes in and nasty things happen to the humans. The ending reveals the real monster and there’s even more laughs at how lame it looks.

“The Beatniks” – Joel Hodgson and the Bots host this 1960 movie that stars Peter Breck (from The Big Valley). Oddly enough, it doesn’t have one single Beatnik but it does have hoods. One wants to break out of his criminal past because he can sing. He gets an offer that can bring fame and fortune. Stupidity prevails. The short is another segment of “General Hospital.” Really boring old soap opera about depressed, boring medical people who you would never want to stick needles in your arm!

“The Final Sacrifice” – This one is a MUST SEE!! A favorite among most fans, Mike Nelson and the Bots host this really cheesy movie from Canada. This is the first MST3K movie in the set where Bill Corbett takes over to be the personna of Crow T Robot. A pasty, skinny, nerdy kid who lives with his aunt somehow comes across a priceless map that leads to a lost city. Immediately, a Cult of guys are after him for the map. Apparently all you need to be part of the Cult is a pickup truck, ski mask and black clothing from Walmart. A guy named Zap Rowsdower, who formerly belonged to the Pickup Truck Cult protects the kid. Although MST3K went off the air a few years ago, this one sticks out in my mind, for the homage to CANADA. (I’m Joking). Mike and Crow are singing a somewhat disparaging tune about Canadians. Tom breaks in (dressed like a Mountie) and berates them. He soon has a song of his own but goes waaaaay overboard. He winds up apologizing to the entire population of Canada! The Riffing is hilarious too.

“The Blood Waters of Dr Z” – Mike and the Bots host this awful 1975 movie that would make Ed Wood look like Steven Spielberg. A mad doctor transforms himself into a swamp creature and decides he needs mates. Enter pretty women. The beginning is a lot of voice-over and narration which almost takes up one third of the movie. Really, really cheesy creature costumes and very cheap filming make great fodder for the Crew.

In previous sets, Shout Factory added the funniest animation at the beginning of each episode, where the Bots re-create scenes from the movie. The bonus Mini-Posters were shots from the animation. Shout has added more posters with this set. (Click on the link below and you can see the posters from the previous set) Mystery Science Theater 3000: XVI [Limited Edition]

All Hail SHOUT FACTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!5
Just wanted to say Shout Factory has done an AMAZING JOB. Each one of their MST3K sets has had an outstanding mix from various MST eras and it seems as though the ratio of great to mediocre episodes is MUCH better than with that ***other*** company. And they seem to be coming out with regularity– every 90 days or so, it seems.

Customer Reviews:

Simple yet solid5
I’m partial to Logitech and Microsoft mice, but I jumped on a great deal. The cursor is more precise, there is less “pointer jump”, and best of all it is plug and play on most operating systems. Highly recommended for those that need a simple mouse and want to upgrade from the optical ones.

Note: Laser mice do not have any light, unlike the annoying optical red (or in rare cases blue) lights at the bottom.

Comfortable and accurate5
Replaced a “generic” Dell mouse with this little gem and could not be more pleased. Plug in and go, not too many whistles and bells, and no arrow shift when jiggled. A huge improvement over the tinny thing supplied with my computer. My necessary hours on the keyboard are now free from the stress of inaccurate, clumsy clicks. Thank you HP.

fast and sweet5
for the money this mouse is not cheap and its a real treat. Fast and easy to use this is a real steal i love it you cant go wrong hp products are durable and dependable.

Once again, Beth Moore has inspired me5
Review by Jill Williamson

I love Beth Moore. I’ve never met her, but I’ve done several of her Bible studies and had the privilege of attending one of her conferences. The woman inspires me. Why? Because she’s real. She’s suffered through life, just like the rest of us, and she refuses to let that define her. Praise Jesus for that! That, and her passion for studying the Word of God, draws me, and thousands of other women, to her like sheep to a shepherd. She is a disciple of Jesus. She teaches His truth in a wonderful, personal, life-changing way.

So when I saw this book, I knew I needed it. I’ve always had low self-esteem. And I am plagued by insecurity. The smallest little comment will send me into a spiral of woe. One example, I have the nasty habit of interpreting faces. I can read minds, too, you know. If someone looks at me funny, I know I did something to make them upset with me, and I can’t stand it until I know everything is okay again. I’ve also trained myself to interpret email tones. I entertain my husband every time I read an email to him. He says I read every word with a negative, attacking tone, as if the author has a personal agenda against me–or someone.

One of my husband’s most telling phrases is: It must be exhausting being you.

Well, ouch.

But he’s right. It is exhausting being so insecure. I don’t mean to do this to myself. And I’m tired of it. And a bit ticked off, as Beth was in the beginning of her book. Having read the book, I will say that I now have confidence that I can beat this thing. Insecurity distracts our minds from living the life God intends for us. It keeps us weak instead of strong. It keeps us distant instead of loving. It keeps us judging instead of reaching out and building lasting friendships.

Once again, Beth Moore has inspired me. I’m saying, “So long, Insecurity! You don’t own this girl!” Whoo hoo! Now that’s something to get excited about. If you’ve ever felt insecure, sit down and talk it out with Beth. And that’s exactly what this book was. A nice, long, heart to heart with Beth Moore about a topic that plagues us. I highly recommend it.

Womenlivingwell.org’s Review5
Today Beth Moore’s newest book titled “So Long Insecurity: You’ve been a bad friend to us” is released in stores. I had the privilege of previewing the book. Beth says in the opening of this book that this is as close to an autobiography as she’s ever written. Her humble and open heart is spilled out on every page as she openly shares her own insecurities.

Beth defines insecurity plain and simply: “not secure”. Then she goes further in each chapter digging down into the depths of insecurity from self-doubt to perfectionism to preoccupation with self – she reveals many types of insecurities we all deal with.

She reminds us that all we have to do is be born on planet earth to be insecure. A host of troubles are common to humankind. We should be careful who we covet or who we judge as “having it all”. Nobody has everything! We think – well if I had that house or that body or that pretty face or that fabulous man or that degree I’d be secure too. But what we are saying is money, beauty, a great man, or prestige will make us secure. That is all false!

At one point she says “women use men like mirrors” to see if they are okay. In our media saturated culture, the bar for beauty has been raised to a standard that our grandma’s did not have to deal with!

So what do we do with all these insecurities? Psalm 29:11 says “The Lord gives his people strength; the Lord grants his people security.” There is nothing secure in this world – we must cling to Jesus for our strength and security. This book is a great reminder of God’s truth on security.

ok, but not Beth Moore’s best3
I’ve received so much benefit from Beth Moore’s Bible studies, particularly her studies of Esther and David.

But, I didn’t find this book to be helpful. In my opinion, there isn’t enough content here to justify a book.

The first half of the book discusses seven factors that contribute to women struggling with insecurity: instability in the home, significant loss, rejection, life change events such as a move, contemporary culture, and pride/perfectionism.

I was frustrated by the fact that these chapters consisted largely of anecdotes from Beth’s friends and readers of her blog. Beth referred to having done “research” for these chapters, but that research wasn’t evident in her writing. Missing from these chapters was any sort of in-depth analysis of the seven issues.

The second half of the book stresses the importance of finding our security in God. This is so true and is certainly worth stating again and again! But missing from the chapters was the rich interweaving of Scripture and practical application material that I’ve come to expect from Beth’s teaching. Again, anecdotes came at the expense of depth and exposition.

However, there was one chapter in the book that really spoke to me – Chapter 8, A Beautiful Prize Called Dignity. This chapter contains a study of Proverbs 31:25, a verse that Beth beautifully revisits at the end of the book. This chapter represents Beth Moore at her best and is why I so value her teaching.

Finally, Beth briefly touches on the importance of discernment with respect to the contemporary culture. This material was intriguing, but was an aside so could not be presented in detail. I would love to see Beth pick up this topic in future teaching.

Bottom line: for me, the book didn’t live up to the high standard Beth has set in her earlier teaching.
